The Board of Regents has approved the schematic design for the University of Michigan Center for Innovation in Detroit, a six-story building expected to open in spring 2027.
Envisioned as a hub for innovation, the UMCI building in downtown Detroit will offer cutting-edge graduate and certificate programs that develop the future-oriented skills needed to fuel regional growth and attract both emerging startups and leading employers.
